Mass lobby date change: 25th June 2026

This is important information about the upcoming Mass Lobby for Trans Equality in June, please make sure you read it if you are signed up:

Unfortunately, due to logistical issues and crossed wires between us and the Parliamentary authorities, we have had to move the date of the lobby to the following day: 25th June, now from 11am until 4pm.

We're really sorry about this and we know this will cause some issues and inconvenience for people. Here's why and what we do now: 

What this means: 

- If you can still join us, we'll see you on Thursday 25th June between 11 and 4!

- On the day, aim to arrive for around 11 but know that if your MP gets back and confirms a booked meeting you can then hang out elsewhere until ~45-30 mins before it, as you will skip the queue. If you have to arrive part way that is fine also.

- If you have to move or re-arrange booked travel, we can help cover the cost.

- You will need to email your MP again if you already signed up, see guidance on doing that at the bottom of this page

From our side:

- We're really sorry about this. Wires between us and Parliament got crossed and they have just informed us of an issue today. It now transpires that the 24th clashes with another lobby so going ahead would pose challenges for accessibility and queue length. 

- Because of this, though we all have the right to turn up in Parliament any day we want, we have moved the date to the following day to make sure people can access the event. 

- If you can only make the 24th, you are able to still turn up in Parliament and submit a green card or meet your MP as a member of the public however we will not able to support with this, due to the other ongoing mass lobby at the same time.

We appreciate this is not what any of us want to happen here, especially when travel plans have been made and leave from work booked. We apologise. 

To submit a claim for travel cost assistance relating to this change, we have emailed you a link. If you can no longer make it, can you please tell us on the link emailed to participants. If you haven't had these, email us on info@transsolidarityalliance.com

Inviting your MP:

If you hadn't already signed up under the lobby's previous date, you can just sign up as normal here when we have re-enabled sign ups. If you had signed up already, you will need to send your MP a fresh email about the change of date.

To do this:

1. Find your MP at THIS LINK (open in a new tab)

2. Write an email with this subject line: DATE CHANGE: Will you meet me for trans equality on 25th June?

3. In the email body please put: Dear xxx, I wrote to you in the last few days to invite you to join me for the Mass Lobby for Trans Equality in June. Due to some logistical issues, the lobby has been moved to 25th June from the earlier date of the 24th. The organisers apologise for the change. Will you please join and meet me at the lobby, some time between 11am and 4pm on Thursday 25th June? I will be along and submitting a green card but it would be great to have a booked meeting if possible. Yours sincerely, xxx
