With a red weather warning now in place for the day of the planned Mass Lobby for Trans Equality on Thursday 25th June 2026, we are cancelling the lobby on the day and advise people do not travel to Westminster.

Communications will be emailed shortly to participants with more detail, including what this means for travel fund claims, however please do not attend.

We recognise this will be disappointing, but safety of attendees is our first priority.

If you have a booked appointment, it's still worth asking your MP if they will meet you virtually. If not, we will update with some other actions you can take.

We plan to still run the mass lobby at a later date but it will be after summer recess now, so not imminent, more details to follow.

Thank you, to every one of you who signed up, for your support. Together, we keep fighting until we have equality.

A red warning means that official advice from travel companies is likely to be not to travel, so we'd advise contacting any travel and accommodation providers about a refund - and are hopeful they will be flexible.

The Met Office said: “Red warnings are reserved for the most severe events and we’re expecting severe and significant impacts from this heatwave, with health impacts likely for many, even beyond those who are normally more vulnerable to the heat.

"The last time the UK recorded temperatures this high was in July 2022, but on this occasion the heat is expected to be accompanied by high humidity. As well as very high daytime temperatures, there will be consecutive nights where temperatures do not drop below 20°C, which is called a Tropical Night. This will make it very hard for people to recover from the daytime heat, exacerbating the heat stress impacts.”

Please look after yourself, and stay safe.
